GamerLegion , MIBR and M80 Advance to IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 2

GamerLegion , MIBR and M80 secured their places in Stage 2 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 after winning their Stage 1 Swiss matches on June 4.

Stage 1 will continue on June 5, with the final matches set to decide the remaining teams that will advance to the next phase.

MIBR qualified after defeating Lynn Vision 2-0 in a best-of-three series. The Brazilian team won 13-5 on Anubis and 13-2 on Inferno to close out the match convincingly.

GamerLegion also advanced with a 2-0 win over BIG , though both maps were closely contested. They won 16-14 on Overpass before taking Ancient 13-11.

M80 became the third team to qualify on the day after beating NRG 2-0. They opened with a 13-6 win on Ancient and finished the series with a 13-10 victory on Inferno.

Meanwhile, THUNDER dOWNUNDER, Sharks and Heroic were eliminated from Stage 1. They joined Gaimin Gladiators and Sinners , who had already exited the tournament on June 3.

THUNDER dOWNUNDER lost 0-2 to FlyQuest, falling 10-13 on Anubis and 3-13 on Inferno. Sharks were defeated 1-2 by TyLoo after losing Nuke 6-13, winning Inferno 13-5, and dropping Anubis 10-13. Heroic were eliminated by Team Liquid after a 0-2 loss, with the maps ending 5-13 on Nuke and 11-13 on Inferno.

IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 1 runs from June 2 to June 5 in Cologne, Germany . Sixteen teams are competing for eight spots in Stage 2, where they will join eight directly invited teams starting June 6.
