StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 Group Stage to be Held Online

The organizers of the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2025 have decided to forgo the group LAN stage and all regional qualifiers. Instead, they will conduct a single closed online qualifier in Europe .

This will take place from August 13 to 17. Sixteen teams will participate based on the VRS ranking. The format will be GSL groups BO3, with the top eight teams advancing to the final stage. The winners of the advancement matches will earn spots in Budapest.

The LAN playoffs for StarSeries Fall 2025 remain unchanged—they will occur from September 18 to 21 in Budapest, with a Double Elimination format, and all matches will be BO3. The LAN part of the tournament will feature:

4 teams from the group stage
4 invited teams based on the global VRS ranking
According to StarLadder, these changes aim to minimize conflicts with other CS2 tournaments and simplify logistics. Valve has already approved the new format. Earlier this year, StarLadder had to reschedule events due to the packed season schedule.
