Woro2k Joins Passion UA

Vladimir "Woro2k" Veletnyuk has officially become the new sniper for Passion UA . He replaces Vsevolod "s-chilla" Shchurov, who left the team earlier. This is Woro2k's first full signing since his departure from Monte in July 2024.

After leaving Monte , Woro2k was not affiliated with any organizations but remained an active player. He played for DRILLAS , a team assembled by ohnePixel for the major qualifiers in Shanghai. Additionally, he formed a mix called Adventurers , which saw over 13 different players in two months, but it did not achieve significant results.

Before Woro2k's signing, the sniper role in Passion UA was filled by kvem , who took over after Jambo 's transfer to Fnatic for $600,000 (more details here). However, kvem is not a dedicated sniper, which negatively impacted the results—the team failed in recent performances. Replacing the sniper and other roster changes became an obvious step.

In the past six months, Woro2k has competed on the tier-3 scene and demonstrated a commendable level—his average rating was 6.5. While this isn't tier-1 level, Passion UA isn't there yet either. Signing Woro2k could mark the beginning of a new phase for the team.

Interestingly, the coaching position has been filled by the English-speaking coach T.c , which has sparked mixed reactions. However, kvem , Topa, and Woro2k already have experience playing in international teams. So, this experiment might work, but it will require time for adaptation.

Currently, Passion UA will definitely miss the current major cycle. Nevertheless, they might participate in Yalla Compass Qatar 2025 if some teams withdraw their slots due to MRQ (more details here).
