aurora sign Eternal Fire roster

aurora has officially signed the entire Eternal Fire roster along with coach Sezgin “Fabre” Kalayci, after earlier in the day it dismissed its predominantly Russian roster. This move came as a real shock to the CS2 scene.

Eternal Fire - stable in the playoffs
Since the signing of Samet “jottAAA” Köklü in the winter, Eternal Fire has been showing consistent results, reaching five consecutive playoffs and securing an invite to the third stage of the Austin Major. Although the team hasn't managed to win any tournaments yet, it is among the top 5 in the Valve world rankings.

Reasons for the move are sponsorship restrictions in Turkey
Immediately after the announcement, the team's sniper Özgür “woxic” Eker commented on the situation, linking the change of organization to economic difficulties and restrictions on the sponsorship market in Turkey:

As some of you may know, following some events, due to the fact that the upcoming period will not be very favorable for our CS team, and unfortunately the inadequacy of the CS sponsorship conditions in Turkey, this sad decision has become necessary. In this regard, our CS team will continue its journey under the name aurora . All Eternal Fire club chapters will continue their active work.

This is probably due to the strict regulation of the betting market in the country, where only one state-owned bookmaker is allowed, which makes it difficult for teams to cooperate with private sponsors.

Debut in a new form
aurora will make its debut with a new lineup at the PGL Bucharest, where it is considered one of the tournament favorites. This transfer could be a key moment in the fight for the title.
