Cloud9 allows v1c and coach Veer to explore options after missing VCT partnership
Cloud9 has allowed Victor “v1c” Truong and head coach Wyatt “Veer” Blevins to explore opportunities for 2027, adding further uncertainty to its VALORANT roster following the organization’s unsuccessful VCT partnership application.
Their announcements follow an earlier update from Jack “Jackk” Foote, who also received permission to consider offers while remaining under contract.
v1c seeks a controller position
V1c said he is looking to continue competing as a controller. His Cloud9 agreement runs through the 2026 season, leaving him contracted until the November 2 free-agency date.
He originally joined ahead of 2025 and helped Cloud9 finish fourth at Americas Stage 2 that year, narrowly missing Champions qualification.
During 2026, he stepped away midway through Stage 1 and competed from home with Azure Dragon Gaming before returning to Cloud9 for Stage 2. The team ultimately finished 9th–12th in the Play-In.
Veer considers coaching opportunities across regions
Veer is open to head-coach and assistant-coach positions in any region. His contract also runs until November 2.
He joined Cloud9 as an assistant before taking over the head-coaching role during Stage 2, with Immi moving into the assistant position. Veer told VLR that his options could include leading a non-partnered team through the new open-qualification system.
Cloud9 intends to remain in VALORANT
The organization has stated that it will continue in the game despite missing partnership selection.
Permission to explore offers does not itself confirm that every affected player or coach has departed. However, the announcements leave several positions unresolved as Cloud9 prepares for the next season.
