Riot links Champions Shanghai mouse issues to table material
Riot Games says it has identified and resolved the cause of mouse and input issues reported by players at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai.
According to the tournament organizer, the problems were linked to the conductivity of the materials used in the stage tables.
Technical team implements fix
Riot's technical team identified the cause and introduced a fix after several players experienced equipment problems during the opening days of the tournament.
The organizer said no further issues were observed during subsequent pre-match technical checks or matches after the changes were made.
Riot did not disclose the specific adjustment used to resolve the problem.
The company said competitive integrity remains its priority and that equipment will continue to be monitored throughout the remainder of Champions.
The issue had drawn attention after Nongshim RedForce player Francis said mouse and PC problems affected his performance during the team's opening loss to NRG.
