MIBR allow tex to explore offers ahead of 2027 season

MIBR have officially allowed Ian "tex" Botsch to explore offers from other organizations ahead of the 2027 VCT season.

The American player remains under the MIBR banner for now, but the decision opens the possibility of a transfer during the offseason.

His contract was previously listed as running through 2027, but Riot's VCT contract database has since been updated to show 2026 as its expiration year.

Regional roster rules could shape MIBR rebuild

The potential move comes as VCT Americas prepares for new regional roster requirements.

The upcoming 3/5 rule will gradually require organizations to field lineups that meet regional eligibility requirements.

MIBR currently uses an international roster containing players from Brazil, the United States, and Chile, meaning further changes may be required depending on how the rule is implemented.

MIBR reached the VCT Americas Stage 2 playoffs in 2026 but were eliminated after losing to LOUD .

Their only major international appearance of the season came at the Esports World Cup.
