LOUD survive five-map NRG comeback to reach VCT Americas Stage 2 grand final

LOUD advanced to the VCT 2026: Americas Stage 2 grand final after defeating NRG 3:2 in a dramatic lower-bracket final.

LOUD won the opening two maps, watched NRG force the series all the way to a decider, and then completely took over Lotus to close the match.

The victory also secured LOUD a direct berth at VALORANT Champions 2026.

LOUD 3:2 NRG

NRG appeared to have Abyss under control early.

They built a commanding 9:3 halftime advantage and were only four rounds away from opening the series with a victory.

LOUD completely reversed the map after the side switch.

The Brazilian side conceded only one additional round, winning ten of the final 11 rounds to steal Abyss 13:10.

That comeback immediately put NRG under pressure.

LOUD double their advantage on Sunset

LOUD carried the momentum into Sunset .

The map remained much closer throughout, but LOUD consistently found enough late-round conversions to stay ahead.

They eventually closed Sunset 13:9 and moved one map away from the grand final.

NRG refuse to go out

NRG finally responded on Summit.

They secured a 13:9 victory to reduce the series deficit to 2:1.

Haven was even more convincing.

NRG dominated the fourth map 13:5, completing the comeback from 0:2 and forcing a deciding fifth map.

After four maps, the entire season came down to Lotus.

LOUD crush the decider

The deciding map was surprisingly one-sided.

LOUD established control immediately and never allowed NRG to build the same confidence they had shown on Summit and Haven.

The Brazilian side closed Lotus 13:3, ending NRG's comeback and completing the 3:2 victory.

brawk shines despite elimination

Brock "brawk" Somerhalder was the highest-performing player of the series despite NRG's defeat.

He finished the five-map match with 219 ACS, around 7% above his six-month average.

The victory sends LOUD into the VCT Americas Stage 2 grand final against 100 Thieves .

NRG finish third, but their season continues at VALORANT Champions 2026 after qualifying through Championship Points.
