Riot Games announces VALORANT map pool changes — date and details revealed

Riot Games has officially announced changes to the current VALORANT map pool, along with the date of implementation. The update was shared on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.

On July 21, VALORANT developers revealed that with patch 11.04 — scheduled for August 19–20 (depending on the region) — Icebox will be removed from the active map pool. It will be replaced by Abyss, which has been absent for over 130 days. The longest-absent map remains Breeze, which hasn’t been in rotation for 404 days.

As a reminder, the last map pool update occurred in patch 11.00, when Split and Pearl were removed, Bind was reintroduced, and the new map Corrode was added.
