Gen.G and DRX advance to second round of VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 playoffs

Gen.G and DRX secured victories in the first round of the VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 playoffs and advanced to the next round, where the first two Pacific region representatives for Masters Toronto 2025 will be determined.

Gen.G vs. TALON
TALON’s streak of wins and losses continues: the defeat to Gen.G in the first round marked their 11th consecutive loss. Although TALON had opportunities for success and even won Haven (Gen.G’s pick) with a 13:6 score, they couldn't maintain the momentum. Gen.G confidently closed out Icebox (13:6) and Pearl (13:3), securing their spot in the next round where they will face BOOM Esports in a match for a Masters Toronto 2025 slot. Meanwhile, TALON will continue their fight in the lower bracket against Nongshim RedForce .

DRX vs. T1
The Masters Bangkok 2025 champions are now at risk of missing the next international tournament after losing 2–0 to DRX . Both maps were close and ended in overtime, but the final outcome remained unchanged (Lotus 15:13, Fracture 14:12). T1 now have no room for error: to qualify for Masters Toronto 2025, they must win three matches in a row. Their first opponent in the lower bracket will be Paper Rex . Meanwhile, DRX will face RRQ for a direct spot at Masters.

The VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 playoffs are taking place from April 26 to May 11. The top eight teams in the region are competing for three slots at Masters Toronto 2025 and valuable Pacific Points, which will influence invitations to this year's Champions.
