Paper Rex and TALON advance to the playoffs of VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1

In Group Alpha at VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1, another round of matches has concluded. Paper Rex and TALON secured their spots in the playoffs thanks to victories in their respective matches.

Paper Rex vs Global Esports
Despite setbacks in matches against the group leaders — Gen.G Esports , BOOM Esports , and DRX — the Paper Rex squad earned two crucial victories. First against DFM, and now over Global Esports with a 2:0 score, which guarantees them fourth place and a spot in the lower bracket of the playoffs.

The match began on Split — Global Esports ’ pick — but the opponent was unable to put up a fight. Paper Rex confidently secured the first map, and on their own pick, Lotus, they reinforced their advantage with a 13:9 score. Final result — 2:0 in favor of Paper Rex .

T1 vs TALON
The reigning Masters Bangkok 2025 champions, T1 , couldn’t challenge TALON, losing with a crushing total score over two maps — 13:6 on Icebox (TALON’s pick) and 13:7 on Haven ( T1 ’s pick). TALON delivered a confident performance on both maps, leaving no chance for a comeback. This is the team’s third win in the group stage, which guarantees them at least third place and a playoff spot. Despite the loss, T1 have also secured their place in the playoffs thanks to three earlier victories.

VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 1 is taking place from March 22 to May 21 in LAN format at the Sangam Colosseum in seoul . Twelve partnered VCT Pacific teams are competing for 3 slots at Masters Toronto, as well as Pacific Points needed to qualify for the upcoming Champions.
