FUT Esports faced Gentle Mates , and Team Heretics — GIANTX on the penultimate day of the second week at VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 1. The match results brought both teams to the top of their respective groups.

Despite being the favorites, FUT Esports faced worthy resistance from a well-prepared opponent in Gentle Mates . The Turkish club was just one round away from losing the series on the second map, which went into overtime, but the team held on and moved to the decider. The final moment was a 1v4 clutch by westside , which at the very least pushed the game into overtime and eventually to the final map. Lotus, which was the decider in this matchup, was tense but ultimately went to the favorite — Team Heretics , who won the match 2:1 and also became temporary leaders, but in the Alpha group.
