The VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 group composition has been announced

Today, the details regarding the group distribution for the upcoming VCT 2025: Americas Stage 1 tournament, set to start in March, were released. The participants have been divided into two groups: A and B, each promising intense matchups and fierce competition for playoff spots.

Tournament Format:
While official information has not yet been released, it is safe to assume that the tournament will follow the previous format, which includes:

Group Stage Format:

Two group stages in a "Round Robin" format
Alpha Group consists of 5 teams, and Omega Group has 6 teams, determined before Stage 1 based on Kickoff performances.
Teams will play inter-group matches.
All matches will be Bo3.
The top 3 teams from each group advance to the playoffs.
Winners proceed directly to the upper bracket semifinals.
Teams finishing 2nd and 3rd will go to the elimination round.
Each team needs at least two victories to qualify for the playoffs. If this condition is not met, the highest-ranked team from the other group that meets the criteria and hasn't advanced yet will proceed.

Playoffs:

Hybrid elimination system
The elimination round will have one team eliminated.
From the upper bracket semifinals onward, two teams will be eliminated.
All matches (except for the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final) will be Bo3.
The Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final will be Bo5.
The top 3 teams will qualify for Masters.
