New agent Vyse debuted at VCT 2024 CHINA Ascension

For the first time in an official match, Vyse was used by the  XLG Esports  team, led by former  SCARZ  player  Kr1stal . On the map Ascent, Vyse was chosen instead of the usual KAY/O, which might have been an attempt to prevent retakes after spike plants, similar to the strategy with Deadlock.

However, Vyse did not perform well against a team playing without sentinels and with two duelists (Yoru and Neon).  XLG Esports  struggled on the attack, failing to break through the opponents' defenses and plant the spike in most rounds.

In the 9th round, the team managed to plant the spike in a 4v5 situation, and Vyse's ultimate "Steel Garden" was used to prevent a retake. However, this did not stop ZYG retake. Ultimately, the match ended with a loss for  XLG Esports , with a score of 3-13.

The new agent Vyse, who debuted in Episode 9 Act 2, has yet to gain popularity. According to the Blitz platform, his pick rate is only 3.5-4.0%, with a win rate of about 48%. His effectiveness in professional games remains in question, and he may require buffs in the future.
