JonahP from G2 Esports received threats against jis family after joke about Paper Rex

On Sunday, July 21, Riot Games conducted the group draw for VALORANT Champions 2024, and these two teams will face off in the tournament's opening match.

During a press conference after the VCT Americas 2024 final,  JonahP  praised the  Paper Rex  team but also stated that the Asian team is more likely to “feel the pressure.”

Paper Rex is a good team, but they tend to get ‘shut down’ more often than we do.

 

After  JonahP  comments provoked a negative reaction, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask his followers not to insult his family. He clarified that it was just a friendly joke and that there’s no need to threaten his entire family over a few humorous words.

The match between  Paper Rex  and  G2 Esports  will take place in early August as part of the VALORANT Champions 2024 opening.
