Indonesia and Myanmar reach Asian Games MLBB gold-medal match

Indonesia and Myanmar advanced to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gold-medal match at the 2026 Asian Games after surviving a full day of single-elimination playoff action on September 30.

Indonesia eliminated defending regional powerhouse Philippines in the quarterfinals before sweeping Mongolia, while Myanmar overcame Cambodia and Malaysia to book the other place in the final.

Myanmar 2:1 Cambodia

Myanmar survived the opening quarterfinal after Cambodia pushed the series to a deciding third game.

Cambodia managed to level the series, but Myanmar recovered in Game 3 and closed the decider in 16 minutes and 52 seconds to advance.

Malaysia 2:0 Jordan

Malaysia produced one of the cleanest quarterfinal performances of the day with a 2:0 sweep of Jordan.

The Malaysians won Game 1 in 13 minutes and 20 seconds with a 16–5 kill advantage before dominating the second game 29–8 in kills and finishing in 13 minutes and 37 seconds.

Philippines 1:2 Indonesia

Indonesia delivered one of the biggest results of the tournament by eliminating the Philippines 2:1.

The Indonesians took Game 1 after 19 minutes and 40 seconds before the Philippines responded to force a deciding game.

Indonesia ultimately came through the third map to eliminate the previously unbeaten Group C winners and secure a semifinal berth.

Mongolia 2:0 Hong Kong

Mongolia continued their strong tournament run by sweeping Hong Kong 2:0 in the final quarterfinal.

The result sent Mongolia into a semifinal against Indonesia and guaranteed the team at least a bronze medal.

Myanmar 2:0 Malaysia

Myanmar then secured their place in the gold-medal match with a 2:0 victory over Malaysia.

Malaysia produced a stronger second game and at one stage appeared capable of forcing a decider, but Myanmar punished several mistakes and closed the series in two.

The defeat leaves Malaysia with a bronze medal from the Asian Games MLBB competition.

Indonesia 2:0 Mongolia

Indonesia completed the day's action by sweeping Mongolia 2:0 in the second semifinal.

After surviving a three-game quarterfinal against the Philippines, Indonesia produced a cleaner performance against Mongolia to secure their place in the gold-medal match.

Myanmar and Indonesia will meet in the best-of-seven final on October 1, while Malaysia and Mongolia finish the event with bronze medals.
