Monster Vicious and Aero Esports qualify for the Playoffs in MPL Malaysia Season 15 Week 5

Monster Vicious and Aero Esports joined HomeBois and Selangor Red Giants OG in the Playoffs after Week 5 of MPL Malaysia Season 15.

Monster Vicious (MV) and Aero Esports have secured Playoff spots in Week 6 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15. They advanced to the next stage of the league after perfect runs in the week, with Monster Vicious securing two 2-0 victories over Ocean Black and Team Rey , while Aero Esports defeated Todak .

Monster Vicious defeated Ocean Black on the first day and followed it with another stunning performance against Team Rey in the last match of the week. Those wins pushed MV into third place on the leaderboard. Meanwhile, Aero Esports , who only had one match in the week, now sit in the fourth spot. MV are still eligible for an upper bracket berth in the Playoffs if either Selangor Red Giants OG (SRG.OG) or HomeBois lose all their remaining matches in the last week of MPL Malaysia Season 15, while MV won both their matches 2-0.

Selangor Red Giants OG draw first blood versus HomeBois

SRG.OG successfully drew first blood versus HomeBois in MPL Malaysia Season 15 Week 5, ending the latter's run of consecutive victories at seven. The win also helped solidify SRG.OG's place on the throne with a perfect 7-0 scoreline, albeit with a single game loss to Aero Esports . While SRG.OG's place in the upper bracket of the Playoffs hasn't been confirmed yet, they only need one more victory in the last week to secure it.

SRG.OG clearly had a plan before playing against HomeBois on the second day of Week 6. They deliberately picked Xavier for Mohd Norhadim Bin Mohamad “ Stormie ” Rizwan in the last minute of both of their matches against the second-place team. The plan worked beautifully when HomeBois couldn't counter the pressure that the hero gave and ultimately surrendered to the brilliance of the pick.

MPL Malaysia Season 15 will continue with the last week of the Regular Season on 23 May. SRG.OG will play their last two matches to secure a Playoff spot, while MV need to beat both Aero Esports and HomeBois to secure one for themselves.
