M6 World Championship slot allocation officially announced

MOONTON Games has officially announced the slot allocation and prize pool for the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship, which will be hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia later this year. The developer also teased another region for Wild Card, which has yet to be determined.

MLBB's much-awaited flagship esports tournament will commence with the Wild Card Stage, where eight teams compete for one slot on the Main Stage. Currently, eight slots for the Wild Card stage are spread into seven known regions: EECA, Turkiye, LATAM, MENA, China, Mongolia, Mekong, and one to-be-determined region.

After the Wild Card Stage comes the Main Stage, which will feature 16 international teams – including the Wild Card winner – who will fight for the most-coveted title in MLBB esports. This year's M6 World Championship will also have an increased prize pool worth $1,000,000 USD, up from $900,000 last year.

The 16 teams competing in M6 hail from all across the world. Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia will have two representatives each while Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, NA, EECA, Turkiye, LATAM, MENA, and China all get one slot, with the last spot belonging to the Wild Card stage winner.

Currently, only The Semi-final and Grand Final stages have been announced, and both will take place in Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil, Malaysia. The venue was the same place where the first World Championship, the M1 World Championship, took place.

The M Series is MLBB's annual world championship tournament that aims to showcase the pinnacle of competitive MLBB gaming. Its first edition was held in 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has since become one of the world's most popular esports events, with the M5 World Championship attracting 5.06M Peak Viewers.
