Cloud9 reportedly allows Tactical to explore options despite contract through 2028

Cloud9 has given Edward “ Tactical ” Rare Atom permission to explore opportunities for 2027 while considering Alternative AD carries, according to Sheep Esports.

The report does not confirm his departure. Tactical remains contracted through November 20, 2028, Meaning a move would require an agreement involving Cloud9 , Such as a transfer, trade or contract termination.

His starting position is under review

Tactical joined Cloud9 in June after winning the North American Challengers League with Conviction . He subsequently replaced Zven in the starting lineup, while Loki took over from APA in mid lane.

That revised roster helped Cloud9 finish third in LCS Summer and return to Worlds for the first Time since 2023.

The international campaign ended in Play-Ins, however, following a 3–1 defeat to FURIA ON October 16.

Cloud9 assesses another bot-lane change

Sheep Esports also reports that APA and Zven have been released. Tactical ’s situation would therefore affect the lineup Cloud9 actually fielded at Worlds, Rather than Only its reserve players.

Support Vulcan has already extended his contract through 2029. Cloud9 has not announced a replacement AD Carry or confirmed whether Tactical will remain its starter.
