G2 Esports terminate head coach Perkz 's contract following controversial public statement

G2 Esports have ended their collaboration with League of Legends head coach Luka “ Perkz ” Perković, following a public statement in which he discussed his Career and expressed his views ON abortion.

Ceo Alban Dechelotte announced the decision ON November 5, saying that some of the comments conflicted with the organization’s values.

G2 Esports announce immediate coaching change

Dechelotte said G2 Esports ’s international community includes people with different backgrounds and opinions, and that representing the organization requires respect for that diversity. He apologized to Fans hurt by the statement and confirmed that G2 Esports would now concentrate ON rebuilding its staff and roster.

Perkz had returned to G2 Esports as a positional coach before replacing Dylan Falco as head coach in July, ahead of the Esports World Cup.

His tenure included the LEC Summer championship, followed by a disappointing Worlds campaign. G2 Esports finished 1–3 in the Swiss Stage, with Hanwha Life Esports delivering the elimination defeat.

No successor announced

G2 Esports have not named their next head coach.

Earlier reporting linked Vitality’s Pad with a strategic coaching position and Lyncas with a move into G2 Esports ’s jungle Role . Those reports remain separate from an official appointment, and Pad was not identified as the incoming head coach.

G2 Esports said further staffing and roster announcements would Follow Once free agency opens.
