MVK’s Chika credits Korean training for rapid rise to Worlds
MVK Esports mid laner Chika has highlighted his training with DRX Academy as an important influence on his development after earning his first series victory at Worlds 2026.
Speaking to Sheep Esports following MVK’s opening 3–0 win over FURIA , the rookie described his progression from substitute to international starter after joining the main roster in April.
Learning from experienced opponents
Chika said Korea ’s disciplined training environment and strong competition helped him develop faster. At Worlds, he wants to learn how experienced players maintain their composure and professionalism, identifying Chovy as a player he particularly admires.
Explaining the Kog’Maw selection
Chika also discussed his mid-lane Kog’Maw pick against FURIA . He considers the champion useful against opponents who build substantial health and as an option later in a series when other strong mage selections have already been used.
He described his ambition as establishing himself as a young mid laner willing to take risks and prove his ability.
