JD Gaming bring in Angel and xiaofang for Demacia Cup

JD Gaming will field Angel and xiaofang at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational, replacing hongQ and JunJia for the tournament.

The changes follow JDG's failure to qualify for Worlds 2026 after a difficult end to their LPL season.

Angel and xiaofang return as a duo

Angel and xiaofang previously played together during the 2024 LPL Spring Split with Oh My God .

According to the Demacia Cup roster announcement, the pair will take over the mid lane and jungle positions for JD Gaming at the international event.

Reports shared from Weibo have also claimed that hongQ and JunJia 's contracts were terminated, although JD Gaming had not officially confirmed those departures at the time of the report.

JDG reshuffle after missing Worlds

JD Gaming struggled through the latter part of the LPL season after finishing Split 1 in second place.

The team was eliminated from the Grand Finals bracket following losses to Team WE and Ninjas in Pyjamas .

JDG later beat Team WE in the Regional Finals but lost to Invictus Gaming , ending their bid to qualify for Worlds.

The Demacia Cup will also mark Angel 's first international event since Suning's run to the 2020 World Championship final.
