Karmine Corp opened their MSI 2026 Play-In campaign with a dominant 3-0 victory over Deep Cross Gaming .
The result moves Karmine Corp further in the upper bracket, while Deep Cross Gaming drop into the lower bracket.
Deep Cross Gaming showed some resistance in the early stages of Game 1, but Karmine Corp gradually took control through stronger teamfighting and objective play. They closed the opening game with a 23-12 win.
Game 2 was the most one-sided map of the series. Karmine Corp dominated from the beginning and secured a crushing 31-3 victory, finishing with a gold lead of more than 20,000.
Deep Cross Gaming tried to slow the pace in Game 3, but Karmine Corp remained in control. They won key fights around objectives and closed out the series with a 25-14 victory.
Caliste was named MVP of the series after delivering strong performances across all three games. He finished with average stats of 8.2 kills, 2.1 deaths and 9.1 assists, along with 65.7% kill participation and 17.6K average damage.
The MSI 2026 Play-In Stage will continue on June 29 with two matches. T1 will face Karmine Corp for a place in the Play-In Grand Final, while Team Liquid will meet Deep Cross Gaming in an elimination match.
The MSI 2026 Play-In Stage runs from June 28 to July 1. Four teams compete in a double-elimination bracket, with only one team advancing to the Bracket Stage. All matches are played as best-of-five series using Fearless Draft.
