Patch 25.09 Changes Announced for League of Legends

Riot Games has introduced the substantial update 25.09, coinciding with the start of the 2nd season and the Blossom Festival. Players can expect a new map, battle pass, balance adjustments, improved anti-griefing measures, and updates to game systems.

The Blossom Festival marks a new phase in League of Legends — with patch 25.09, the 2nd ranked season and a themed event featuring an updated map have begun. The map has undergone visual and stylistic changes: it now features more roses, petals, and the magical atmosphere of Ionia .

New Battle Pass and Skins
The update introduces a seasonal battle pass with a range of themed rewards: Spirit Blossom Ivern, Party Twitch, and the prestige version of Spirit Blossom Lux, as well as emotes, icons, and other in-game items.

Ranked Season 2: No Rank Reset
Ranked Season 2 will begin on April 30 at 1:00 PM CET. As promised earlier, there will be no rank reset, and no qualifying matches are required. However, progress on missions for the victorious skin will be reset — 15 wins in new games will be required to earn the reward. From April 29 at 1:00 AM to April 30 at 1:00 PM CET, ranked queues (solo/duo and flexible) will be unavailable due to the transition between seasons.

The pass will feature Spirit Blossom Ivern, Party Twitch, and Spirit Blossom Lux (Prestige). All other skins will be available for purchase through the in-game store. New skins will be available on April 30, 2025, at 10:00 PM CET.
