LOL official announcement: S15 global finals will be held in China in Beijing/ Shanghai /Chengdu
Live broadcast on January 9th, League of Legends event officially announced that the S15 global finals will be held in China .
2025 Global Finals
This year's global finals will be held in some of China 's most iconic cities. The play-in rounds and Swiss rounds will be held in Beijing, the quarter-finals and semi-finals will be held in Shanghai , and the championship and runner-up finals will be held in Chengdu .
We will share more information about the venues later, but we can tell you that this year we will be eliminating the break between the quarterfinals and semifinals . Many fans have said in their feedback that this period of time will interrupt their enthusiasm for participating in the World Finals, so we will change the two stages to back-to-back uninterrupted, and we look forward to seeing the results.
There are 17 teams in the World Championship: 3 seats for each region, 1 seat for the region with the second best performance in the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational, and 1 seat for the region that won the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational. More information about the complete format of this year's World Championship will be shared later.
