Live Broadcast October 18: The second day of the 2024 World Championship Quarterfinals features a match between LPL's first seed BLG and LCK's first seed HLE.

In the early game of the second match, Bin's Rumble endured pressure on the top lane. Xun came to the top to team up with Bin, killing Doran twice within two minutes. ON's Rakan lifted Viper, allowing BLG to secure a 0-for-2 trade and take down six Rift Heralds, gaining a 3k gold lead.

In the mid-game, Delight's Alistar initiated a fight in the river and Zeka gave knight's Yone a double kill. Zeka then went top with Doran to try and catch Bin, but Doran was counter-killed by Bin. Before the dragon fight, BLG secured a 0-for-2 trade and destroyed HLE's bottom lane tier-two turret. Zeka dealt significant damage to Elk in the river, allowing Viper to get the shutdown. HLE managed a 1-for-3 trade but was 6k gold behind. BLG quickly revived and took Baron, extending their gold lead to 8k.

In the late game, BLG pushed mid, and ELK's Xayah pulled in three opponents with her feathers. HLE, unable to fight back, was defeated 1-for-4 in the dragon fight, and BLG pushed through to destroy HLE's base, taking back a game.

[4:45] Skarner returns top, ganking through the wall to push back Rumble. Rumble retaliates with his ultimate, heavily damaging Gnar. Sejuani arrives to protect Rumble, and both teams disengage.

[5:36] Sejuani circles around the river to return top. Gnar transforms and tries to kill Rumble but is kited, allowing Sejuani to easily secure first blood on Gnar.

[6:11] Gnar is knocked under the turret by Sejuani, and Rumble follows up with his ultimate to melt Gnar, leading to Doran's consecutive deaths within two minutes.

[9:28] BLG secures the first dragon, gaining a 2k gold lead.

[11:15] In the Rift Herald fight, Rakan's W lifts Kai'Sa, and Xayah kills Kai'Sa. Skarner is trapped in the pit and slain by Yone. BLG achieves a 0-for-2 trade and secures six Rift Heralds, leading by 3k gold.

[14:27] A fight breaks out in the river. Alistar knocks up Sejuani, and Yone uses his ultimate to engage, knocking up Ahri and killing Alistar for a double kill. BLG secures a 0-for-2 trade and takes two dragons, with the Infernal Soul available this game.

[16:34] Gnar and Ahri attempt to catch Rumble on the top lane. Rumble uses his ultimate to counter-kill Gnar, and Ahri finishes off the low-health Rumble. Yone then goes top and uses his ultimate to eliminate Ahri. In the mid lane, Alistar knocks Kai'Sa under the turret, and Kai'Sa dives the tier-two turret to take down Xayah. Kai'Sa then tries to give away a kill on BLG's high ground but is taken down by the respawned Rumble. BLG secures a 2-for-3 trade.

[19:03] BLG invades HLE's jungle, with Xayah using her feathers to take down Alistar and Yone cutting down Rell. BLG secures a 0-for-2 trade and destroys HLE's bottom lane tier-two turret. In the dragon fight, Ahri uses her ultimate to engage, heavily damaging Xayah. Kai'Sa and Xayah trade kills, and Yone's ultimate hits two but is killed by Gnar. Rumble is also caught by Gnar. HLE secures a 1-for-3 trade and takes the dragon, trailing by 6k gold.

[21:15] BLG starts Baron, with HLE arriving too late to contest. BLG secures Baron, extending their gold lead to 8k.

[21:59] Yone pushed the top lane but was caught by Skarner's ultimate, Kai'Sa took Yone's kill, BLG took down HLE's mid lane inhibitor tower, leading by 7k gold.

[23:45] BLG pushed mid lane, Xayah's feather pull caught three HLE members, Yone assisted Xayah in killing Gnar, Kai'Sa took down Rakan, both sides traded 1 for 1, BLG leading by 7k gold.

[25:31] Dragon fight, Sejuani secured the dragon, BLG is on dragon soul point, Rumble's perfect ultimate roasted Ahri, Mega Gnar was killed by Xayah, Kai'Sa, with low health, tried to escape to the bot lane but was taken down by Rakan, BLG executed a 1 for 4 trade and pushed to level HLE's base, pulling back a game.
