Kiin : NAR is a good choice in 14.13, but it has its limitations

Kiin, the top laner of GEN.G, expressed his view on the team's undefeated record.

On the 13th, in the first round of the 2024 LCK Summer Split, GEN.G defeated DK 2-0. With this victory, GEN.G not only achieved a 14-game winning streak against DK but also continued their undefeated record in the Summer Split.

In the match against DK, Kiin used Gangplank and Kennen. In an interview after the game, he said, "I thought it would be a tough battle, considering that we often go to game 3 against DK. However, winning 2-0 cleanly feels great."

GEN.G and DK will face each other again in the second round of the regular season starting next week. Kiin believes that this match is very important, saying, "If we can win again next week against DK, I think it will give us a lot of motivation and confidence. So this game is crucial."

In the game against DK, Kiin picked Gangplank in the first game, and the opponent picked NAR as a counterpick with the presence of Sejuani in the jungle. Gangplank could be in a dangerous situation in the top lane. In fact, Kiin encountered some difficulties in the early stages of the game.

When asked about this, Kiin replied, "Personally, no matter what champion I play, I always feel a lot of pressure. Currently, Gangplank is strong, and I am confident, so I made that choice." After overcoming the early difficulties, Kiin's Gangplank started to show its unique strengths in the mid-game.

In the 14.13 version of the LCK, NAR became one of the popular picks in the top lane, and Kiin is the most frequent player to use NAR in the LCK. He has played NAR in more than 60 games with a win rate of over 60%. It is one of his signature champions. Regarding this, he pointed out, "I think NAR is a good choice in the current patch, but on the other hand, this champion also has its limitations, so you need to choose based on the actual situation."

Since the start of the 2024 LCK Summer Split, GEN.G has achieved a record of 8-0 in big matches and 16-0 in small matches. If they can sweep their opponents in the upcoming match against NS, they will break the record for the longest winning streak in small matches in the LCK. Regarding this, Kiin said, "I won't pay too much attention to records, but focus more on how the team should prepare."

With only one match left in the intense first round of the regular season, Kiin promised to have an outstanding performance in the last match against NS in the first round, saying, "There is only one match left in the first round, and I will do my best to stay focused and end this round with a great performance."
