Canyon : I have confidence in the AP jungle version and will watch videos to learn from Joohyeon-ge

Q: How do you feel after winning the games with a 2-0 score?

Canyon : This is a great start, and I am very happy. I want to continue this momentum and keep winning in the future.

Q: GEN finished both games in around 24 minutes today, what is the secret to ending games so quickly?

Canyon : We got an advantage in the early game, so we were able to end the games quickly. The first game went smoothly in the bot lane, so we quickly finished the game. In the second game, I used my ultimate ability to easily get a kill in the bot lane, and that's how we quickly snowballed.

Q: What do you think is good about Jeula as a jungle champion in the current version?

Canyon : AP junglers are often played in the current version, and I think I can utilize Jeula's strengths. If it's possible to pick Jeula, I will choose her.

Q: I'm familiar with champions like Brand and Karthus, and I know why they became meta champions. Currently, only Canyon has made use of Jeula. What makes Jeula unique as a champion?

Canyon : I think Jeula jungles much faster than other jungle champions. If you can make good use of this, it can create favorable situations in the early game. Jeula has advantages in these aspects, and I don't think she's particularly weak in team fights. I think Jeula is a very good champion.

Q: Canyon's rune fragment choice with bonus movement speed is also quite unique. Is there a special reason for that?

Canyon : I saw some Jeula players in ranked games using it, so I tried it myself. The movement speed of AP junglers can indeed be frustrating, and Jeula is even more frustrating in this regard. After using this rune, I could feel the difference, and it felt good, so I kept using it.

Q: I was very impressed when you invaded the enemy jungle near the Red Buff and took down the Scuttler. Is this a new technique? Did you discover it in ranked games?

Canyon : Previously, Rakan often appeared in the jungle position, so Jeula can do it as well.

Q: Do you have any unique tricks for quickly clearing the jungle with Jeula? Or do you learn from videos of Joohyeon-ge?

Canyon : I carefully watch videos of Joohyeon-ge and think about whether there are better methods, and I continuously research.

Q: When BRO banned three AP junglers, how did you feel?

Canyon : I thought, "So many AP junglers are banned, there aren't many options left for AP junglers," and then discussed with my teammates and coaches which remaining AP jungler is the best. We ended up choosing Karthus.

Q: When you get targeted with bans, do you feel happy? How do you feel?

Canyon : I'm not sure about others, but when Nidalee gets banned, I'm very happy.

Q: Do you feel that your skills are being respected?

Canyon : I don't have that kind of thought, I just feel happy.

Q: In the early game of the second game, the enemy invaded your jungle and took your flash, and you almost got hooked by Thresh's hook when you were trying to take the scuttler. Why did you want to take that bush?

Canyon : I think I made a mistake in adjusting the distance at that time. Actually, there was no need to do that. At first, I thought it would be good to trade flash, but then I didn't know that Thresh's hook hit the wall and I miscalculated its cooldown. It was a close call.

Q: Canyon, you once said something that left a deep impression on me: "If you play 100 ranked games, there may be a particularly similar moment in one of the games, and I will be very happy then."

Canyon : Honestly, I don't think ranked games have a big impact on competitive games, but when there is a game situation similar to a ranked game in one of the 100 ranked games, it can be helpful.

Q: Do you feel that your efforts are not in vain, and have meaning?

Canyon : It does have meaning. However, I don't play ranked games with the expectation of that. I just play ranked games normally.

Q: What is the reason for your outstanding performance this season?

Canyon : I believe it is not something I can achieve alone. It is a great help to have discussions with my teammates and coaching staff about which champions are good. I just need to think about how to do better at what I should do.

Q: Both teams and professional players cannot always perform well and may have periods of improvement and decline. When you are in a slump and want to get back on top, do you have any unique methods of managing your mentality?

Canyon : To be honest, there is no special method. The overall average skill level of everyone has improved. There is definitely a reason for the decline, so it's important to find that reason.

Q: Did you encounter and find that reason?

Canyon : The game version often undergoes significant changes, and I think it is important to adapt quickly.

Q: It is now called the AP jungle version, and many people consider Canyon the strongest in this version. What do you think?

Canyon : Although I have confidence in the AP jungle version, the version can change at any time. In version 14.13, AP jungle was also weakened. Although I appreciate everyone's positive evaluation of me, I don't know when the version will change, and other champions may be better now. I will try to adapt as quickly as possible.

Q: How determined are you for the upcoming match against HLE?

Canyon : Whether it's the spring split or now, I think HLE is a great team. They are about to start their match soon, and I will watch HLE's games and think about how to prepare for the match.
