While highly praising Jayce, GEN's Chovy also left a humorous comment.

On the afternoon of June 20, in the 2024 LCK Summer Split held at LoL Park in Seoul's Jongno District, GEN defeated KT with a score of 2-0. With three consecutive victories, GEN climbed to the top of the standings with a record of 3 wins and 0 losses (+6), surpassing KDF.

In both games that day, Chovy chose Jayce and performed impressively. Especially in the first game, he dealt explosive damage output and was named Player of the Game (POG).

After the match, in an interview with kukinews, Chovy said, "KT prepared a powerful team fight composition, so sometimes we were defeated and sometimes we won, but in the end, we achieved victory and I am very satisfied."

On that day, GEN used Jhinx as a jungler for the first time in an LCK match. Chovy commented, "In the training process, our win rate was high. Kim Jeong-boo always finds good choices, and Jhinx is a hero that can be used in the game."

Chovy chose Jayce and laned against Bdd's Yone. He expressed confidence, saying "Usually, Yone has an advantage in this matchup, but I constantly weakened that situation. If I play according to my ideas, Jayce is winnable. Although it's hard to explain, I feel like I can win as long as I play."

In this Summer Split, Chovy particularly favors picking Jayce. In the six victories, he achieved five of them with Jayce, and the other victory was with Yone.

When asked about the advantages and disadvantages of Jayce, Chovy replied, "The advantage of picking Jayce is that it makes you feel like you can't lose the game." He added with a smile, "The downside is that playing only Jayce can get boring." Then, he jokingly said, "Because I've played this matchup multiple times and it has formed a fixed pattern, so there is no freshness anymore."

In the second game, Lehends made a mistake while using Alistar. After the mistake, Lehends smiled helplessly, and Kiin teased him by saying, "I knew it would be like this." These scenes show the relaxed side of GEN.

In response, Chovy said, "I thought to myself, 'This guy is at it again.' I asked him, 'Why do you like riding Alistar so much?' When you ride Alistar, you can't use your skills. He doesn't listen to commands at all, maybe because he is too greedy to ride it. He also likes riding Alistar in training." Chovy said with a smile.

Chovy has a habit where the more intense the game, the more his forehead shows. Since GEN has won every game in the Summer Split with a score of 2-0, Chovy's forehead has not been exposed. When asked about this, Chovy humorously replied, "It probably won't show in the regular season. If my forehead is exposed, it means the game was very difficult and crucial. Maybe it will show in the playoffs or finals."
