Viper: I want to face T1 and GEN in the bot lane, hoping to create entertaining matches.
After sweeping DRX in the LCK Spring Split, an interview with HLE's bot laner Viper was released by Korean media.
Q: How do you feel about today's matches?
Viper: Today is the first game, and we had a good start. I'm very happy and looking forward to the upcoming matches.
Q: This is the first game you played together. Any differences in team coordination compared to practice matches?
Viper: Compared to practice matches, everyone played more steadily in the actual games, and there were fewer skirmishes. That's the biggest difference.
Q: In the first game, you secured the victory with an exciting team fight. How was the communication during that moment?
Viper: In the first game, we were at a disadvantage, and I felt the odds were against us. However, with the champion I was playing, even when in a disadvantageous position, I had to play as if we were ahead. Confidence in executing plays is crucial to unsettle the opponents. So, I played that way, and it worked. Despite being behind, we believed we could win and identified key points to secure victory. During the comeback, our resolve remained unshaken, and we were constantly seeking the best possible plays.
Q: The second game ended within 22 minutes. How did you review that?
Viper: After the first game, we communicated a lot and anticipated that the opponents would probably stick to their prepared champion picks for the second game. We devised corresponding strategies. Upon seeing their champion picks, our choices were more tailored, allowing us to swiftly conclude the match.
Q: With many item changes in the 14.1 patch, have AD carries felt the impact?
Viper: The most noticeable change is the improvement in armor penetration items. Being able to build them faster than opponents is a significant advantage. Other aspects will become apparent only through actual gameplay.
Q: Many players express anticipation for facing HLE's bot lane. Which team's bot lane are you looking forward to facing?
Viper: First of all, thank you all for looking forward to it. Personally, I look forward to facing T1's bot lane and GEN's bot lane. I believe it could lead to interesting matches.
Q: How do you rate Aphelios in the current patch?
Viper: Aphelios is still good; I consider him a strong champion. However, he's not impossible to deal with, and there are many champions that can counter him.
Q: Your next opponent is KDF.
Viper: Facing KDF in the next match, we need to be well-prepared. I will give my best in the upcoming matches, so please look forward to them.
