Zeka discussing the incident at last year's Cild tournament: "It was the first time I encountered such an event in my competitive gaming experience
Recently, in an interview, Zeka discussed the events from last year's Cild tournament.
Regarding the incident during the Cild tournament, Zeka didn't attribute Cild's departure to this year's failure. HLE had to part ways with their starting jungler, Cild, during the midseason of the summer split due to an unsavory event, leaving a gap that rookie Grizzly had to fill. Particularly for the mid lane, where synergy between jungle and mid is crucial, it was noticeably challenging.
Zeka mentioned, "This was the first time I encountered such a situation in my competitive experience. Initially, it was quite overwhelming. Regardless, because the season was ongoing, not just I but also the other players and coaches went through a very tough period." He further expressed, "If I could have performed better, despite this incident, we could have still made it to Worlds. The newly added jungler, Grizzly, played his role effectively. So, it's more regrettable for me that I didn't do better."
Zeka seems to acknowledge the difficulties caused by Cild's departure but also takes personal responsibility for his performance, believing that better play on his part might have influenced the team's outcome positively.
