2023 LOL World Championship: WBG Won The Coin Toss, Chose The Blue Side

The countdown to the final showdown of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship has begun as LCK team T1 and LPL team WBG appeared at the media day event today. They determined the sides, red or blue, by flipping a coin. Eventually, WBG won the coin toss and chose the blue side for the first game.

After over a month of intense battles, the League of Legends 2023 World Championship is about to reach its climax. LCK's T1 and LPL's WBG have emerged as the standout teams, gearing up for the final showdown this Sunday in a best-of-five series to claim the championship title.

Today, Riot organized a media day inviting both teams participating in the final to take the stage, engaging in live media interviews, and using a coin toss to decide the sides, red or blue. As WBG was the team to advance first into the finals, the face of the coin represented WBG, while the opposite side represented T1. Shim Sung-bo, the organizer of the World Championship, was responsible for flipping the coin. The final result showed the face side, granting WBG the choice for the first game's side, and they opted for the blue side, leaving T1 with the red side.
