Currently maintaining an unbeaten record, GEN.G mid laner Chovy responded to provocations from DK

On the 19th, in the 2024 LCK Summer Split regular season, GEN.G swept NS 2-0, achieving a 20-game winning streak, setting the longest winning streak record in LCK, and becoming the first team in LCK to go undefeated in a single round of regular season matches, achieving an 18-game winning streak in the summer split.

In the first game of the day, Chovy was named POG for his outstanding performance with Tristana. In a live interview, he shared his thoughts on the team's achievements: "We have set a record for an undefeated season winning streak, but I don't think it's time to celebrate yet, our team has higher aspirations. We will not let our guard down and will continue to prepare for the future."

When asked about the secret to maintaining his recent excellent form, Chovy pointed out: "The amount of time we have is actually the same, so I discuss with the coach and teammates to train efficiently. Even during rest time, I think seriously, and it seems the current results are good."

The most popular mid lane champions this season are Tristana and Corki, with Chovy using the latter more frequently and rarely using Tristana. He first used Tristana in the match against DK on the 13th, and in the first game against NS, it was his second time using Tristana.

After the match on the 13th, Chovy assessed Corki as stronger than Tristana and explained why he hadn't chosen Tristana before: "I've always thought Corki was better, but after Corki was nerfed, the more I played, the more I felt Corki was inferior to Tristana. It's still in the trial stage, and no matter what champion I get, I have to perform my best, so I'm trying."

In the second game against NS, Chovy used Azir to face Yone, a matchup where Yone is considered the advantageous side. Chovy noted: "Azir is relatively weak against champions with strong sustained damage, and with Yone's increased sustained combat ability, he has more of an advantage in this matchup than before. From Azir's perspective, being able to go even in the laning phase is already good."

Finally, Chovy responded to a series of provocations made by DK before their weekend match: "DK has been provoking us, saying they want to end us, I can't sit idly by. If they want to end us, we will crush them."
