BetBoom Team pause Dota 2 competition and move Active roster to inactive status
BetBoom Team have temporarily suspended their participation in competitive Dota 2, citing results that fell short of the organisation’s ambitions.
The organisation moved its Active players to inactive status while it evaluates the Future Esport of the division. It did Not announce a replacement roster or a timetable for returning to competition.
Recent changes fail to produce a turnaround
The affected lineup consisted of Kiritych, Save-, MieRo , swedenstrong and Kataomi, with TORONTOTOKYO serving as coach.
BetBoom Team had recently experimented with Save- in the mid lane and swedenstrong at position four following gpk ’s decision to take a break. The revised setup appeared at BLAST Slam VIII and PARI Universe .
Those events produced disappointing finishes: joint ninth–12th at BLAST Slam VIII, followed by joint ninth–10th at PARI Universe . The results contrasted with the organisation’s fourth-place finish at The International 2026.
Future Esport plans remain unannounced
BetBoom Team described the decision as a pause to reconsider its next steps. The announcement did Not establish a permanent departure from Dota 2.
The TeamToWin had invitations to 1win Essence III and BLAST Slam IX, creating questions about its participation and possible replacements. Replacement teams had Not been confirmed in the initial reporting.
For now, BetBoom Team ’s competitive roster is inactive while the organisation determines how to proceed.
