Malady questions Save-'s mid-lane switch and calls for BetBoom Team roster changes

Malady questions Save-'s mid-lane switch and calls for BetBoom Team roster changes

Team Yandex support Arman "Malady" Orazbaev believes BetBoom Team should move Vitaly "Save-" Melnik back to the position-four support role rather than continue using him as a mid laner.

Speaking in a Team Yandex vlog recorded during BLAST Slam VIII, Malady praised Save-'s laning ability but raised concerns about BetBoom Team 's overall gameplay following the early stages of matches.

Malady questions BetBoom's mid-game decisions

Malady described Save- as a capable laner but argued that BetBoom Team lacked direction after the laning phase.

He also expressed doubts about whether professional players can successfully transition from support to a core position, noting that he struggled to recall a prominent example of such a move producing lasting success.

In contrast, Malady believes moving from a carry role to support is a more natural transition.

His assessment focused not only on Save-'s individual performance but also on how BetBoom functioned collectively once the laning phase ended.

Malady suggests returning Save- to support

Malady believes BetBoom should restore Save- to his previous position-four role and recruit a dedicated mid laner or wait for Danil "gpk" Skutin to return.

He also acknowledged uncertainty over how Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek would influence the roster.

Although Malady supported BetBoom's decision to make coaching changes after the previous season, he maintained that Save- would be more effective in his original support position.

Team Yandex continue strong tournament run

The comments surfaced following Team Yandex 's championship victory at BLAST Slam VIII, where they defeated Team Spirit 3–1 in the grand final.

Yandex earned $270,000 for winning the tournament, adding another major trophy to their recent competitive achievements.

Malady's remarks highlight ongoing questions surrounding BetBoom's role distribution as the organization attempts to improve its results in the new competitive season.
