ATF recalls Falcons winning while deliberately choosing Dire

Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf says Team Falcons once became so dominant that they deliberately chose what they considered the weaker side of the map simply because they could afford to.

Speaking in a Team Yandex vlog, ATF recalled a period when Falcons believed Radiant was stronger but repeatedly selected Dire anyway.

According to ATF, the team was winning so consistently at the time that he chose Dire "just for fun."

Opponents began copying Falcons

ATF said the unusual choice eventually influenced other teams.

He claimed opponents started copying Falcons' preference for Dire without necessarily understanding that Falcons themselves considered Radiant the stronger side.

Historical Dotabuff data cited by Offstage shows Falcons played more matches on Dire than Radiant overall, with a win rate between 63% and 66% across those games.

ATF now represents Team Yandex after leaving Falcons during the post-The International roster period.
