LGD Gaming tease new five-player Dota 2 roster
LGD Gaming are preparing to unveil another Dota 2 lineup after teasing a new five-player roster on September 8.
The Chinese organization published an image featuring five player silhouettes alongside the words "Roster Reveal," signaling that an announcement is approaching.
LGD preparing another rebuild
LGD accompanied the teaser with a short message asking fans to guess what was coming.
The organization has not yet revealed the identities of the five players.
LGD recently parted ways with the roster that represented the organization at The International 2026 after the players' contracts expired.
That lineup included:
-
Yuma
-
Wisper
-
Thiolicor
-
KJ
Topson competed with the team at TI 2026 as an emergency midlane replacement.
He joined after TaiLung Mafia was removed from the tournament and received a lifetime ban from PGL events following a competitive-integrity investigation.
Previous contracts expired after TI
LGD's management later clarified that the previous lineup was not formally kicked.
Instead, every player's contract was scheduled to expire on August 24, shortly after The International.
That left the organization free to build another roster for the new season.
The September 8 teaser now confirms that LGD intend to remain active in professional Dota 2 rather than step away from the discipline.
With five silhouettes included in the announcement image, the organization appears ready to reveal a complete lineup rather than gradually announce individual additions.
The identities of the new players remain unconfirmed.
