Team Falcons officially disband TI-winning Dota 2 roster

Team Falcons have officially disbanded their Dota 2 roster, bringing an end to one of the most successful lineups of the past several seasons.

The organization confirmed the decision on September 6 after weeks of speculation surrounding the future of the team following The International 2026.

Falcons disband entire roster

The departing lineup consists of:

• Skiter

• Malr1ne

• ATF

• Cr1t-

• Sneyking

The roster had been together since late 2023 and quickly established itself among the strongest teams in professional Dota 2.

Falcons thanked the players, staff and community for their time with the organization while confirming the end of the project.

TI 2025 champions split one year later

The greatest achievement of the Falcons roster came at The International 2025.

They defeated Xtreme Gaming 3:2 in the grand final to claim the Aegis and establish themselves as world champions.

The lineup also won several other major tournaments during its time together and remained a consistent presence near the top of the international scene.

Their 2026 campaign, however, ended far earlier than expected.

Falcons finished 7th–8th at The International 2026 after losing to Nigma Galaxy in the upper bracket and later being eliminated by Team Liquid .

That result immediately triggered speculation that the roster could break apart.

Transfer rumors already surround former players

Several members of the lineup have already been linked with new teams.

ATF has repeatedly been connected with Team Yandex , where he could potentially replace DM .

Malr1ne has been linked with Team Liquid as a possible addition during the organization's own post-TI rebuild.

Skiter , meanwhile, has been connected with Aurora Gaming as a potential replacement for Nightfall .

Those reports remain unconfirmed.

Falcons future in Dota unclear

Rumors about a complete disband had circulated before the official announcement.

Solo previously claimed that Falcons intended to release the entire lineup and might not immediately assemble another roster.

The organization's announcement effectively confirms the first part of that report.

For now, Team Falcons have not revealed whether they intend to build a new Dota 2 lineup or leave the discipline entirely.

The decision ends a nearly three-year run for a roster that reached the pinnacle of professional Dota 2 by winning The International.
