Curtis " Aui_2000 " Ling does not plan to continue his career in Dota 2 following the conclusion of The International 2026.

The Team Falcons coach described the past season as likely his final one, pointing to fatigue from constant travel and the lifestyle that comes with competing at the highest level. Team Falcons ended their TI 2026 campaign in 7th–8th place after losing both of their playoff series.

On Ending His Career

Aui_2000 revealed that he has had little involvement in discussions surrounding the future of Team Falcons ' roster, largely because he does not intend to continue his own career.

When asked directly whether the recently concluded season was his last, the coach confirmed that was likely the case.

"I don't even know what's next for the players. I'm not going to continue my career in Dota 2, so I'm not really involved in all of this. I think so."

As of the publication date, Liquipedia already lists Aui_2000 's status as Retired. His tenure with Team Falcons ended on August 23, 2026.

Why Aui_2000 Decided to End His Career

According to Ling, the decision was not made suddenly. He had been considering stepping away for some time, with constant travel and the demands of the professional lifestyle becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

"This lifestyle and constant travel have become too hard for me."

Aui_2000 added that he likely would have ended his career after the previous season had Team Falcons not won The International 2025. With another championship secured, he now plans to shift his focus toward other aspects of life.

Last Tournament with Team Falcons

Team Falcons reached the playoffs at The International 2026, but their run ended after two closely contested series.

They first fell to Nigma Galaxy 1:2 before dropping into the lower bracket. There, Team Falcons suffered another 1:2 defeat, this time against Team Liquid , bringing their tournament to an end in 7th–8th place.

Aui_2000 had been part of Team Falcons since January 2024.

Across his career, he won The International three times: in 2015 as a player with Evil Geniuses , in 2022 as a coach with Tundra Esports , and in 2025 as a coach with Team Falcons .

Following his third championship, Ling became the first person to win The International three times with three different organizations.
