New Roles — A Renewed Interest in the Game
Since winning The International 2021, TORONTOTOKYO has switched roles three times — from mid to support, and then to offlane. According to him, these changes only fuel his interest in the game:
I always enjoy playing new heroes. When you change roles, new opportunities arise, and public matches become more interesting.
"The Main Thing is Just to Get Better"
Alexander has been with Aurora Gaming for nearly ten months. When asked what sets the current roster apart, he responded succinctly:
They're as good an organization as any other. Nothing special.
When the interviewer inquired about what Aurora needs to take the next step, TORONTOTOKYO didn't delve into details:
We just need to get better.
Chemistry with Asian Teammates
After the original Aurora roster left Southeast Asia, the team was joined by Mikoto and Oli . Despite cultural differences, Hertek sees no issues:
We all speak English well enough, so communication is fine.
Meetings with Team Spirit : "You Can Always Tease Former Teammates"
At BLAST Slam IV, TORONTOTOKYO crossed paths with former teammates — Yatoro and Collapse . He admitted with a smile that such matches bring special enjoyment:
Playing against former teammates is always fun. You can tease them — give them a tip.
Memories of TI10
It's been four years since Team Spirit stunned the world by defeating PSG.LGD in the finals of The International 2021. TORONTOTOKYO briefly described the secret of that roster's success:
Everyone was skilled enough, we had chemistry and Team Spirit .
"To Win, You Need to Be Friends"
When asked about the main lesson from the TI10 victory, Alexander replied in his straightforward style:
To win tournaments, you need to be a good team. You need to be friends.
TORONTOTOKYO remains true to himself — calm, straightforward, and confident in his abilities. He doesn't chase after grand statements, preferring to prove everything through gameplay. And if Aurora manages to reach the finals of BLAST Slam IV, he'll have the chance to meet Team Spirit once again — not as an ally, but as a rival.
