NS named the only decent game mode in Dota 2, and it's not ranked

Yaroslav “NS” Kuznetsov, streamer and former esports player, emphasized that he does not get the reasoning behind ranked matches in Dota 2 and considers only Turbo or custom games as legitimate options.

He expressed that sentiment earlier today during one of his twitch streams.

"Do you want me to understand why someone plays Dota in 2025? In my experience, normal people don't play, and if they do, it’s for Turbo and some custom games. Why would you even want to go into solo queue? Are you that free?"

In his opinion, there are still gamers that dedicate too much time to ranked matchmaking and he does not understand why. To him, the only sane modes left available in Dota 2 are Turbo and custom games, which he says are the only games worth playing.

There were previous reports that some legend of Dota 2 and The International champion were considering return to the professional scene.
