Papich's 6-year ban suddenly lifted: what happened

Vitaliy “Arthas” Tsalya aka Papich is back on twitch after a 5-year 9-month ban, making him a free man once again.

The first thing that he did after the ban was start streaming on other platforms, and it does make you question whether he intends to come back to twitch or not. Apparently, hate speech and the loss of respect were the reasons that he initially got banned, so it seems that those policies are a bit more lax these days.

Him not streaming for 4 years apparently did not stop twitch from making this decision, which comes as a surprise to many. He has yet to give guiding remarks on the whole ordeal in the interim.

In the past, however, there has been a notable change as Valve lifted bans off of twenty pro Dota 2 players. These players are now free to join the competitive sphere.
