A new hero, Kez, has been added to Dota 2: all of the character's abilities

Abilities

Innate Ability – Switch Discipline Allows Kez to switch between Kazurai katana and Shodo sai fighting styles, each granting unique abilities and attack properties. Switching styles reduces cooldown by 0.2 sec. per hero level.

• Katana Attack Range: 225

• Katana Attack Interval: 2 (with +20% bonus damage)

• Sai Attack Range: 150

• Sai Attack Interval: 1.5

aghanim ’s Scepter Upgrade: Using an ability from another style instantly resets its cooldown.

Sai Fighting Style

First Ability – Falcon Rush Allows Kez to instantly strike the target, repeating the attack after a delay. The hero can pass through other units, reducing attack speed influence on attack intervals.

• Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14

Second Ability – Talon Toss Throws a sai that deals damage and silences the target and nearby enemies.

• Silence Duration: 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5

• Cooldown: 15 / 12 / 9 / 6

• Mana Cost: 75

Third Ability – Shodo Sai Allows attacks and abilities to mark enemies, slowing them and preventing them from evading the next hit.

Ultimate – Raven’s Veil Creates a smoke wave that marks enemies and reduces their vision. The hero becomes invisible and gains additional movement speed.

Katana Fighting Style

First Ability – Echo Slash A forward lunge with the katana, dealing damage and briefly slowing enemies. The attack repeats after a short delay.

• Bonus Damage to Heroes: 30 / 45 / 60 / 75

• Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14

Second Ability – Grappling Claw Kez pulls himself to an enemy or tree, slowing the target and delivering a hit with increased lifesteal.

Third Ability – Kazurai Katana Attacks deal stacking damage over time and reduce the enemy's health regeneration.

aghanim ’s Shard Upgrade: Using the ability instantly deals all remaining DoT damage from effects.

Ultimate – Raptor Dance Becomes immune to effects and gains 100% magic resistance, then performs a series of slashes, converting part of the damage into health.

The Story of Kez in Dota 2

The story reveals that Kez was a member of the Shodo Order, where he was trained in secret combat techniques for the wingless. However, due to frequent rule-breaking, he was expelled from the order. Finding his own path, Kez began a rebellion against Queen Imperia and freed many wingless prisoners during a festival.

One of the former masters of the Shodo Order noticed Kez and offered him further training, impressed by his courage and determination in his daring escape from the Pit, a prison for the wingless.

This is how he gained the unique abilities he now uses in Dota 2 matches.
