GuardiaN leaves the active roster of BC.Game

BC.Game has officially announced that the legendary sniper Ladislav “ GuardiaN ” Kovács is leaving the active roster of the team and moving to the reserve. This news became known on January 24, 2025.

GuardiaN is one of the most influential players in the history of Counter-Strike. He joined BC.Game as a head coach in July 2024, but in October, he moved to the sniper position after Guy “anarkez” Trachtman was moved to the bench. However, his return to active play did not last long.

Official statement from BC.Game
In its official statement, BC.Game noted:

“ GuardiaN is a true legend in the game, and we have the utmost respect for his contributions to our team and the Counter-Strike scene. This decision reflects our move in a new direction and the formation of our future roster.”

GuardiaN ended his active career with BC.Game with a 6.1 rating of , which indicates the difficulty of returning to his previous level of play.

Current BC.Game roster
After the changes, the team's roster looks like this:

Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad
Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson
Aleksandar “CacaNito” Kjulukoski

GuardiaN 's career
The 33-year-old GuardiaN was one of the best players in the world from 2013 to 2018. However, his return to the competitive scene with BC.Game lasted only 99 days. This decision likely indicates a new strategy of the organization aimed at renewing the roster.

It is not yet known whether GuardiaN plans to retire or continue playing in another role or team. His contribution to the development of Counter-Strike remains unsurpassed, and his name will forever remain in the history of esports.
