Today, GRID Esports announced Berlin as the host city for the 2024 TP World Championship Finals, which will be held from November 2 to 3, with a prize pool of up to $850,000.
16 teams will first participate in the online stage of the competition from October 21 to 26, where a single-elimination BO3 format will determine the four teams advancing to the offline finals. The offline finals will use the same format and will include a third-place decider match.
So far, six teams have qualified for the 2024 TP World Championship, namely Cloud9 and BLEED from the European qualifiers, Legacy and M80 from the North American qualifiers, and BESTIA and Imperial from the South American qualifiers. Additionally, there are 10 invited teams, with the first four being Falcons, Heroic , fnatic, and BIG.
The 2024 TP World Championship will be the second edition of the event. Last year, FaZe triumphed in the purely online TP World Championship, winning the championship and a $250,000 prize. This year's prize pool has increased, with $500,000 reserved for the champion.
