Into the Breach replace BOROS with REDSTAR after 41 days*
Into the Breach have announced that Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov will be the man replacing Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas on the active lineup.
The Bulgarian most recently plied his trade for the short-lived 5W Gaming lineup alongside Thomas "Thomas" Utting and Joel "joel" Holmlund.
REDSTAR helped 5W Gaming to a first-place finish in their debut outing in Regional Clash Arena Europe 2024 with a 1.25 average rating across the event, before the team parted ways after being abandoned by the organization.
Into the Breach have announced the benching of BOROS from their Counter-Strike roster.
In brief comments on the decision, the organization said BOROS is "still a talent, it just ain't quite working," while the Jordanian lamented that it is the "first time I am happy to be benched."
The move comes just 41 days after BOROS was announced as the last piece of Into the Breach 's summer rebuild, which saw the British organization bring together Owen "smooya" Butterfield, former Guild Eagles duo Dionis "sinnopsyy" Budeci and Flatron "juanflatroo" Halimi, and Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus.
In their short time together, a string of mixed results has left smooya's men sitting just outside the top 100 in the world ranking.
The British AWPer has been vocal about the team's lack of results, recently stating in a post-game interview that he believes the team's results and work ethic have been "completely pathetic," adding that Into the Breach would be "top 30 in no time" if "the players are willing to do the hard work."
BOROS' replacement is due to be announced at 00:00 according to the organization's post on X .
Into the Breach is now:
