oBo has been listed as a substitute for the Wildcard's Ace North American Masters Qualifier
Wildcard gaming surprisingly added Owen Schlatter | oBo to the roster for the Ace North American Masters Spring Open Qualifiers. According to club manager Jeremy, the former Evil Geniuses and Complexity player's inclusion in the roster for the club's qualifiers was due to severe weather damaging the power system near Gage Green | Infinite's home, causing intermittent power outages since January 15.
It is estimated that Infinite's power outage might last until the 24th, and if he is unable to participate, Wildcard has requested oBo to step in as a substitute. This qualifier marks oBo's second competition in recent weeks, following the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR Open Qualifier held on January 8. Despite it being his first official competition in the new version of CS, oBo performed well, advancing with his team to the top 32.
While the choice of oBo may come as a surprise, it's worth noting that Peter Jarguz | stanislaw has recently taken on the role of IGL for oBo, and Matt Dickens | Warden has briefly led him during his time with Complexity. Additionally, Jeremy9000 (Wildcard CS branch leader) had previously collaborated with oBo in 2016 when oBo was just 14 years old. Although adding oBo to the lineup is a bold decision, the team should be able to leverage his skills if he needs to play.
