Gen.G announces plans to establish a CS team in China
On December 11th, Gen.G Esports Club announced on Weibo its plan to establish a new CS team in China.
This marks Gen.G's sixth esports project globally, following League of Legends, Valorant, PUBG, NBA 2K, and Rocket League. It's also their first-ever first-person shooter (FPS) esports project in China.
The official announcement reads:
'Hello everyone, this is Gen.G Esports Club.
We're thrilled to announce that we'll soon be establishing a CS team in China, joining the CNCS family.
At this crucial juncture following significant upgrades in the CS series, we aim to leverage our experience and integrate local cultural traits to build a competitive team tailored for the Chinese market, competing in global events.
Simultaneously with the formation of the Gen.G CS team, our official educational brand, GGA, will introduce CS courses. Through systematic online and offline guidance, we aim to pave a professional path for Chinese players and explore opportunities for talent discovery and development in the FPS category in collaboration with domestic clubs.
Please anticipate the new challenges of Gen.G CS in the future, as we'll continue providing the latest updates on the Gen.G CS team!'
