Snappi and coach sAw have parted ways with ENCE
Marco Pfeiffer, known as Snappi, and Eetu Saha, known as sAw, have officially parted ways with the ENCE eSports team. The departure of this Danish leader was anticipated earlier, with rumors circulating on November 5th that Snappi would join Falcons, who have already enlisted Danny Sørensen, also known as zonic, as their head coach.
Additionally, there are reports that Lukas Rossander, known as gla1ve, will take over the leadership role Snappi held in ENCE. The former Astralis captain confirmed his departure from the club after reaching an agreement on Wednesday, further confirming this information.
During their tenure, Snappi and coach sAw propelled ENCE to the second spot in the world rankings twice, once with Lotan Giladi, known as Spinx, and the second time with Guy Iluz, known as NertZ. During this period, ENCE secured victories at IEM Dallas 2023, EPL S15, IEM Dallas 2022, IEM Cologne 2023, and secured second place at the Gamers8 event. They also reached the semifinals in the PGL Antwerp Major.
Snappi expressed gratitude for the trust ENCE had in him, co-building the current team with sAw. He also thanked his former teammates for the time spent together. Additionally, he revealed that multiple clubs extended lucrative offers during his time at ENCE. However, he emphasized prioritizing victories, and ENCE provided the conditions for him to do so.
Coach sAw also expressed gratitude towards the club and former teammates before elaborating on his decision to seek different opportunities.
"There's a Finnish saying, 'good things come to those who wait.' This marks the end of a great period but also a new beginning. Making unconventional decisions isn't easy, but I believe it's necessary at this stage of my career."
ENCE's CEO and General Manager, miqaqu and Willkey, thanked Snappi and sAw for their trust, praising them for laying a strong foundation for the team's future. Willkey disclosed ENCE's attempts to retain Snappi and sAw, but ultimately, both chose to depart.
"We tried our best to keep both in the team, offering them high salaries to renew their contracts. However, their decision to make these changes is respected by us. We wish them both the best in their future endeavors."
ENCE's current lineup is as follows:
Guy Iluz | NertZ
Pavle Bošković | Maden
Paweł Dycha | dycha
Alvaro Garcia | SunPayus
