PGL Bucharest 2027 confirms top 14 VRS teams as invitees

PGL Bucharest 2027 confirms top 14 VRS teams as invitees

PGL has confirmed that all 14 of the highest-ranked teams from the October 5 Valve Regional Standings invitation list have accepted places at PGL Bucharest 2027.

The tournament will take place from January 17–24 at PGL's studio in Bucharest, Romania.

The event will feature a $1 million prize pool and an additional $400,000 in VRS bonuses.

Leading teams commit to Bucharest

The confirmed invitees include Spirit , Vitality , G2 Esports , FURIA Esports , aurora , BETBOOM, B8 , Legacy , Mouz , Falcons , FUT Esports , Astralis , MIBR and Nemiga.

The remaining two places will be determined through an eight-team European closed qualifier scheduled for October 16–20.

Tournament creates scheduling conflict

PGL Bucharest's dates overlap with BLAST Bounty 2027, another major tournament scheduled to open the competitive season.

BLAST Bounty will run from January 11–24 in Malta , with its second week coinciding with PGL Bucharest.

The confirmed Bucharest attendance indicates that many leading teams have prioritized PGL's event over the opening BLAST tournament.

BLAST is expected to announce its Bounty invitation list in November based on the relevant VRS ranking.

The organizer previously announced that the 2027 edition would remove the online stage and reduce the number of competing teams from 32 to 16.
